The short raya balik kampung trip was over.
Hmmmp... kinda short though. So many things to do in 1 short trip.
Yeah! I agree liaw... 5-6 days trip is really not enough!

Hmmm.. When can I really have time for myself.?? SIgh sigh....
Stop day dreaming lah.. U might as well say...

1) 100 Million in my pocket -> I'll quit job and open my own biz n get ppl to work under me..
2) :P Marry a rich husband -> who can sustend my lifestyle n etc . (Like tat gonna happen)
3) In herit $$ from relative/ .... -> Very unlikely.. haha
4) WIth my own capability and strenght... -> monitor my expenses and invest .. haha

Kuching Home Sweet Home

Day 1
--------------
Aaahhh... at last... landed in kuching on 1st october after I vanished for 4months.
Home Sweet Home.... Weather was just nice... the rain welcomed me home.
There was not many people at the airport hiak hiak... which was great! As I waited for my parents to pick me up. I wandered around.... something have change.... a new McD outlet at the airport. Ice - cream..... Hiak... :X well i haven't hv my lunch. So a lil desert wont hurt what.... :P~

As soon as I got home... my chubby cute nephew greeted me with excitement. Hmmmpp.... he has grown "chubbier" n older than before... Hiak.. getting so much naughty. He just wont let go off me. Luckily the weights at the gym did the trick else I wont be able to lift him up for a long while. Even my aunt complained. He's heavy... n she couldnt lift him up for very long. Hiak hiak..

Aha.... he saw me eating KOLO Mee... he wants some too. I bet he didnt realise there's chili... soon he started to ask for water... I really miss him.. so cute n chubby... hiak hiak..

There after, I quickly unpacked. Brought so much stuffs home... on behalf of... all the ladies.... who owed me... AHermm hermm... makeup n etc which ate up my luggage space... Ladies... ladies.. ish ish.... A few boxes I have to deco n fold.... Well.. xtually there's a reason for coming back to Kuching... Coz my best fren's wedding is coming up.. Hiak.. Being one of the "sister" surely we have to do something to her.. hiak hiak... Well... bride to be... U wont regret this gift lohhh..... :X

Day2
-----------------------
Woke up ard 7.30am. Today is Laksa day! muahahaha...
I did a.... SMS reminder to all.. 8.30am to reach MEi Mei's laksa shop in Chong Lin Park.
I ordered laksa... weird it seems.... suddenly the urge for laksa is not there... Hmmmmpp.. I sort of lost my appetite n luv for laksa... mayb its due to the jet lag. I just ate it as to fill up my stomach. My mum luv the laksa. She has never tasted the laksa from this shop. Hiak...

Nx stop. Pay a visit to my grandma... Oh boy.. How I missed her. DUe to old folks disease... Luckily she still remembers my name... She's a bit more talkative today compared to b4. Which is good.

Nx stop. Pay a visit to Wilmina's mum's stall at Yeow .... at one of the shoplot at Premier 101 Ooops... forgot the last word.. I ordered the lamb shank...WHIch was not bad... cooked with mashed potato and served with bread. Wil... u might have to add a lil more salt hiak.. thats the comment from my mum...

My 3rd stop was.... to do facial.... Pimples popping out from my face... due to body heat. I can't wait to have them removed. LOL. I did vitamin C treatment. Hiak hiak... Almoz fell asleep too.

Oocean~ 1st entry after MIA for 1mth.....

Muak muak..... Finally get to update my blog. Sitting down in Old Town White Coffee in Puchong with a glass of cold white coffee is really great! Weather in KL lately is rather hot. Almost everyday I can see the sun bleeding red blood... Yeah U heard me right.

1st n foremost.... hmmmmp... KL life... haha.... is a totally 360 degree change of environment for me. Working in the middle of the city is great! Shopping malls is just a walk away. However.... I barely step inside. The journey on the 1st few days to work was great. I barely tasted the emptiness of the public transport untill the announcement of the petrol hike. There goes my few good days.

Hmmm.. what I mean by 360 degree change? Haha... Well. from driving car 2 work back in Kuching. I now need to travel by LRT n monorail to work. Gosh I sure miss getting around with car at my own convenience.

2ndly... I...... miss my local food. Kuay chap, Kolo mee, Laksa(large juicy prawns)~~~~
Now.... I can only look at the picture n swallow hard my saliva. I'm still trying to get used to the food here. The only mee I take for the 1st 2 weeks here is mozly "kuay tiaw" cooked in different style. "Mee papan" or better known as "pan mee" being the local food here... is a big nite mare to me esp if it's "clear soup".

3rdly. I raise my white flag n surrender. I feel my body getting old and get tired easily now. Previously I always felt that sleeping 6hours per day is sufficient for me. This statement is no longer true to me. Sleeping 6hours per day for the past 1mth. Proof to be very tiring and almoz impossible 2 me. Is it me? or isit KL? I never face puffy eyes now my eye bag beginning to develop. Oh dear... I have to invest in my eyes... hahahahah...

Farewell ?? Eh no...its... Birthday

^^ I didn't expected it coming.
Thinking last nite dinner was the last gathering was a farewell dinner for me n Kenopi.

We had our dinner at Batu Lintang, seafood centre.
Guess what? We ordered crab! Yes crab. With huge claw. Fried with egg. Just the way I want it to be. Hiak.

The crab was satisfying enough. Hmmmpp a bit salty though.

Now now... the moment to reveal it all..... Ever wonder why my blog title is

Oocean ocean or Oocean Orh... Jien?

..........
.......
....
..
.

The meaning of Orh Jien in hokkien is Fried oyster. In Kuching, almoz anywhere that sells seafood have this dish. This is a muz order food if you come to Kuching. You will be given a small bowl of dark vinegar with pepper for dipping.

The meaning of Ocean is of coz. Just ocean. :P

The word "Oocean" if pronounce differently have different meaning.. hahah..

Oopss.. I hv side tracked a bit liaw...

After dinner. Next station was Senso, Hilton.
And so..... this is where I found out the real agenda.
Some one ..ho.... asked me 2 go inside Senso 1st and find seating area.
Finally after much waiting. Then that some 1 came in with a birthday cake.
Hmmmpp... Oren sure did plan it well. I didn't see it coming.
After all my birthday is still weeks away. Hiak.
It was a real surprise though. Thanks guys~

Ordering what kind of drinks sure is a headache. Hiak. A few of my friends never went to Senso before... Hiak.. hiak.. {naughty}

anything to recommend? I don't want to get tipsy*

Too bad our seating area was far away frm the stage.
Hmmpp.. next time should bring our own card to play hiak.
Den we all can.... participate and play.

The live band turn out very poor. We all miss the previous singer. We can barely hear the voice of the singer. Only echoes all the way. Hahaha.. the funny thing was. They didn't synchronize the birthday song with the birthday cake. I.... guess thats it.. Ban Senso? Hahaha...

The moment of truth came. Aww.. awww awww.... Feeling older.
Tiramisu cheese cake. Sob sobbb sobbbbb..... Thks guys....

And of coz. Our usual play was to get the birthday person to take out the candles from the cakes using mouth n no hand. >.<>

Pulling out the candles with my mouth only.

MUahahaha... feeling tipsy n double vision. Hiak.. Juz joking. :P

The ordeal didn't ended here... They got me.... something i least expected.
{Taz taz taz}

>>.....<<||
Lei tei ho yeah... I sure remember u guys.
Thank you guys... Gonna miss ya all...

Ban Deep Fried Crab

Say NO to Deep Fried Crab !!
Big No No!
Just when you r craving for something to die for. Do not be tempted with the fancy name the cook come up with. Well I learned my lesson well.

oren : How much per kg?
cook: RM35
cook: How you wanna cook ur crab? Sweet n sour, ginger n chilli, fried egg, steam, salted duck egg...bla bla bla..
oocean + oren : {eye blink blink. Thinking salted duck egg} Nodding to each other. Salted duck egg!
cook: How many crab?
oocean + oren : {Thinking. 1 each or 1 kg} Ok. 1 kg then.

Then we made a phone call to our kaki" crab meat. We even drag BB out from her pajama to join us for the crab craving session. BB flew from home n reached in 10mins. As we promised the crab will be ready cook by the time she arrives. EEwwww..... kenak tipu

After the long waiting. 5mins. 10mins. 15mins. 20mins... Dying......

Almoz 9pm. No dinner served! Taz taz! 2 of us kept looking around to see whether our crab make it out of the kitchen? Still no sign...

Finally.........

Soon... WTF. Our crab is as hard as stone. As I savor the crab. I'm getting grumpier than ever.
I cant taste the crab at all. Although the crab looked tempting n is marinated with salted egg coating. Not being able to taste the actual texture of the crab is getting on my nerves.

Why? Crab meat are mean to be eaten when the flesh is juicy n not overcooked.
Curse the cook for coming up with the idea of Deep Fried Crab! Blame myself for not asking!
There goes my crab!

Lesson learned. Not to assume! Although it may be irritating n stupid to ask.Still. Getting an accurate answer from the source is crucial.

~Farewell Lunch~

Today. We had our farewell lunch for me with my colleagues at Kluang.

With my mind blank not knowing what to talk about. Thinking its gonna be a sombre occasion turn out otherwise.

With a group of 8 we seated and changed table twice. Which must have got the waiters jumping mad. Hahaha... Even the order went wrong. Too many ppl ordering this n that. They left out
the one n only dish, my ayam masak merah". Anyway, I shared the rendang with Lucy. Which she enjoyed so much.

It was like a family dinner. We shared this and that n tasted others drink. I guesss... I must have got every1.. spiced up the whole aftn with the spicy rendang in their tummy.. Hiak... We even end up in Ta Kiong supermarket hunting for drinks. It was really fun afta all its a Friday lunch.

Dearest Lucy even wrote me sth nice which I'm gonna cherish n missed them all.

"...Today 8 of us went to Kluang Station, the Spring for lunch. It’s my
first time dining at Kluang though. Rendang beef and the drink called
‘Cham’ were the most popular items. And yes, I enjoyed the Rendang Beef
very much. It has enough spices ingredients and it’s spicy enough. Taste
so real and original. The portion is enough for 2 person and it’s worth
the price.
I guess most of us hadnt tasted many other dishes before, so we were
happy to share among ourselves. She gave him a spoonful, then she gave
another her a portion, then he gave her and another her bits pieces,
then he asked another him to taste, and another she asked around to
taste her dishes, etc etc, this kinda thing. Not bad. We’re all very
generous and love to share after all. Oh! Another she even shared, eh...
no. EXCHANGED her drink to another her! Oh wow. How clingy!
I suppose it was a great gathering to be together once in a while. After
all, Jaja will leave us soon. The atmosphere wasnt sombre at all as I
thought might be. It turned out to be great. Dodo still has her sore
throat. And she didnt manage to eat much. Poor her. Hope that cooling
lime drink soothed her throat.
We had a brief stop and shop at Ta Kiong. Main purpose was hunting for
mineral water but I guess, end up the Prune Juice was the most popular
item we bought. It’s off a few ringgits and I think it’s worth to buy.
Oh ya. I like our dresses today. Every girl in different patterns and
that’s unique. It was suppose to be a farewell lunch but I actually had
some ‘Soul, mind and brain destressing’ time off from our work Try not
to think much about the farewell. It's part of a life's things. Just
wish her all the best in life..."

In a moment like this.. I can feel tears running down my eyes... n my heart even sad.

Yeap. This is life. Steping into the future n not fogetting the pass. I'll owez remember u all and keep in touch when I'm back.

17 Mac (Detox Day)

WHY of all the thing....
Today is Detox Day~~

Reason is ... Lately I've eaten too much guilty foods including frequent visits to all the eatery in Spring ^^

My colleague has recently done so, which inspired me n Oren. Well..... xtually it is because of another reason lah..... Let u all know later... hahah

Nevertheless DETOX once a month is good for our body according to a source in the newspaper article. Oh yes... you can use what ever modern n easy method available....
1st thing that rings into my mind is... ^^ detox tea (SOD)... hehehe... Or even any health product available on the market ie. Melilea.... sth sth... for instance

R u thinking the same too? Hiak hiak..

WHey... hold on... dont go too fast~~
The real method of DETOX is... eating green apples. Yes u heard me right.
We should not consume food containing salt, sugar, meat, rice.... ^^
U can drink plain water all you want~~
Bite or chew a green apple whenever u feel hungry.
This must continue for a minimum of 3days ^^

As our body system becomes sluggish and full of toxins, we tend to get all sorts of illness and fat fat lemak around our body, tummy >.<
Even if u go to gym or aerobics also useless as the lemak piles up again after you eat ^^

Day 1 Detox
>.< I xtually broke the rule arhhhh....
Breakfast - 1 green apple
Lunch - Salad with NO dressing + 1 green apple
Tea - Ribena drink - reason (I'm going for 2 session exercise)
Dinner - 99.7% fat free tasteless, plain yogurt + 1 green apple
.....
....
...
..
.

Normally I have the impression that I cant survive without meat and carb~ As thought meat is my life. Today prove my statement wrong. Haha.. Reason being, I will go "neng kar" n floating on air. Eh I can still tahan wohh... Until finished today's 2 session exercise class ^^

Our today's temptation was chicken Broasters at Chicago 7. Imagine me n oren sitting there.. eating just salad! Seeing everyone else ordering fries and Brosters. Man its was suffering, but then... maybe too hungry.. even the salad taste nice and our craving gone.

Now... Day 2 will be tomorrow... so see how long me n Oren going to last...
Gulp. Hungry~~~

Human Traffic ... o.O

Below is a pedestrian crossing at Bugis Street.
When the light is green, you can see many people crossing the street.

Hey... its red already. Ooops... the pedestrians will have to wait in the middle of the zebra crossing/traffic light.

One big problem with this kind of zebra crossing...
What if a kid just ran out of the road?
Or even someone got pushed out of the waiting line as its very packed.

Erm... Since pedestrian hv bigger priority than motorist, the motorist will have to stop!

However, accidents do happen and its somebody's fault obviously... ^^

Siloso Beach -

The siloso man made beach is quite amazing. Clean sand and blue water... Yeah like Oren said...
U cant get it at aherm ahermm.....

As it was rather hot in the noon... we decided to come back later around 4 something in the afternoon. Hiak hiak.. U know.... "puteri lilin" dun wanna get dark.
And the outcome is below...... >>..<<

Urhhh urmmm..... We manage to see the sun set though... and its not that hot liaw.. by that time... However not long after that there were black clouds surrounding the us... >..<
Sigh sigh...

A picture worth a thousands words~~

Bugis Street

Bugis Street...... ahh... really "people mountain people sea" .Urm...>"<... If u get the meaning den its good. Hiak hiak... Bugis Street is just like our very own India Street in Kuching and Petaling Street in KL... There are many stalls over there. People used to come here 2 get cheap* stuffs. But since it has been commercialised and being the tourist centre of attraction spot. Aherm herm... thats it...
U can find all sort of stuffs including t-shirts, jeans, bags, shoes, watches etc..

Ahhhh.. this stall really caugh my attention... such a huge bun for burger ??? Erm im not sure bout the filling... coz the stall was closed and a guy was standing there directing us to another stall which is located abt 15steps away... probably thats where they prepare it...

Next I went to OG shopping complex, said to be one of the oldest shop built in that area.
Just outside OG there were stalls being setup selling stuffs for chinese new year.

As you notice above, these two person demonstrating some art work.
Ahahaa... that lady is smart to get bright pink colored wig else... ooopss.. thats it lah... when her frens / relatives recognise her. As a matter of fact, this art is quite common elsewhere in Sg. I really salute them... under the hot sun somemore... ^^

My next stop, Bugis Junction. A large shopping complex with a glass sunroof walkway and retro architecture. That time around the place was decorated with banners and decorative from the movie Golden Compass. The place was very pack with youngters and tourist.

You can spend wholeday long at this place. Aahaha..

Walking, sighseeing, window shopping, buying... ^^
Grik groookkk..... Ooopss... I think my stomach started growling...
Not to worry. U can always find food*** along the way.
Inside the shopping complex, there is a food court. Way better n nicer environment than.. ahermm... herm... TJ in Kch..

U can sit on sofas or cushioned chair..... which far better than the hard n heavy wooden chair which makes your butt
flat even though u didnt sit for long. This place is fully packed and very clean. ;)

The choices of food can even make me drool along the way as I walked around hunting for something special. Well I just watch people passing by with their tray of food then decide what to order... hahaha... Urm... presentation n quality n quantity takes count mah...

Finally I made my choice (still thinkin bout the seafood marina that I had at Elephant before coming to Sg). Something like spagetti tepanyaki chicken. And here it says... "No added MSG!"
Erm.. If the lady ask whether do you want soup... better say no... ahahahaha...

The spagetti sauce is really nice!! Felt like fresh tomatoe puree. Not too sour not too sweet. Just the way I like it. N of course they will ask whether do you want cheese powder..
^^ After the heavenly and guilty food.. I felt so heavy n lazy to move around...

Dont ask me okay. It is heaven okay.. n urmm.. my jeans felt tight too.. ^^

Sentosa Day Trip

During my 1st visit to Sg last mth, I was brought to Sentosa Island.
Initially I didn't plan to
get any package coz my main intention was to go n see see nia...

Well... Since moz of us also
never been there, we ended up buying the package that worth... SG$ 33++. >..<> bcoz they wanna print it on the ticket upon issuing. We end up choosing Caslberg Tower, History of Singapore, 4D Movie, Merlion Tower.

View taken inside the MRT to Sentosa Island, SG$ 3 per way.

o.O|| wah wah .... really that blue meh the water....

Well urmmm... xtually there is nothing fancy bout going up the Merlion Tower.
Its just high up nia wat.... so so so??!!
Since its part of our package so we went up loh... There was a long q awaiting us as we all took turn to tk photos of us at the mouth of the Merlion. No worries if ur picture taken aren't clear as there are a crew of photographer ready to take photos for you and charge you for SG$ 10 or izit 25? And they even print out ur photos whether you wanna buy o not? =.=|| (worship) thats why they charge you that much.

View on top of the Merlion's mane.

Sun set View of the Island

The ride up to the sky using the Carlsberg Tower was pretty good. The only thing is that the trip was rather short... cost SG$8/ ride leh... ~o.o~
We get to see 360 degree of the scenery in Sentosa at a bettter view. Guess thats why they charged visitors so much...

Man made beach..
Urmm the only sideback is .... u get to see ships... ahahaaha which xtually spoils the view... :P~

Man made beach

Lessons learned from the trip to Sentosa...
1) Dont forget sunblock if you are heading to the beach.
2) Don't wear long pants/ jeans. U'll get baked
3) Do use beach wear and bring along spare clothings...
4) Enjoy yourself .... hiak hiak
